Research what your assigned person is saying about how U.S. should proceed in war on terror against ISIS in light of Paris and Russian plane attacks. (narrow search by time). You will share their beliefs / recommendations as near as accurate as of the date of your post, but you must recommend an action, whether you find they state one or not. THE EMPHASIS HERE IS WE WANT TO IDENTIFY THE PERCEPTION OF THE INDIVIDUAL IN THIS ROLE (SENATE / HOUSE / EXECUTIVE) AND WHAT POWERS THEY THINK SHOULD BE USED. Make it up if you have to, but consider their powers and their likely beliefs about the powers and limitations of the other branch. THIS IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR WHEN I SCORE YOUR BLOG.
Site URL and summarize the stance of your assigned person in the first person – 2 paragraph’s minimum. You are summarizing “your” position and defending it (why do you think this is the best course of action). Identify actual quotes where you are using them by using quotation marks. You may use some isolated quotes but your 2 paragraphs are you paraphrasing / summarizing – not just pasting their words in a blog.
A second assignment - due the Friday after break (DECEMBER 4th - THE FINAL BLOG) - you must respond to someone you disagree with by commenting on their post. Be respectful and clean (at least by the standards of the person you are depicting :)). You don't need an additional url for this one, but keep up on what is going on with the war on terror by then.
Students in Mrs. Ahrens' A.P. Government class will explore policy through interacting on this blog. Knowledge gained here will be the basis for activities during policy days on Fridays. Follow directions that change sometimes from week to week.
