Tax Reform on the Menu - II

The Republicans are soon to reveal their new tax reform proposal.  A lot rides on this, and the Congress and interactions with the Presidency and the media are key elements in the battle.  I want you to find an article about this subject from a quality source FROM NO OLDER THAN October 24th, read it and post the following:

1.  Title of the article, link to the article underneath that.
2.  One paragraph summary.
3.  One paragraph analysis - SPECIFICALLY TALKING ABOUT THE INTERMINGLING ROLES OF THE CONGRESS, PRESIDENCY AND THE MEDIA.
and finally
4.  React to at least one classmate's post.

Policy Blog #7 - The Iowa Supreme Court

This is our Iowa Supreme Court, with Justice Waterman in the back row 3rd from left.  Remember that we will be visiting with him on Friday during PRIDE, and we can actually observe oral arguments Thursday night 7 pm at Central High School in Davenport.  Lets do some crowd sourcing research.  Everyone post something (minimum a paragraph, a picture, an excerpt from an article, a chart, etc.) that you learned about the Iowa Supreme Court, and skim through your classmate's posts.   Be sure to skim in advance of your own post so you don't replicate a previous post.

I'm getting the impression that you are not paying attention to the news like I think you should have begun to do more often, at least for the sake of this class.  With that in mind, this week's blog is allowing you some choice.  Go to Real Clear Politics through the link below, and pick any article that is linked on its front page.

1.  Read it

In your comment

2.  Paste the URL and the title of the article.

3.  Write 1 paragraph summary and 1 paragraph reaction to the content of the article.

4.  Read and react to a classmate's post as well - your comment to theirs must indicate that you have read what they posted.
